    Join wildlife tracker and naturalist, Mike Taras, for a day in the field learning to identify a myriad of evidence left behind by animals. You will learn about animal behavior, how to identify tracks and other sign, gaits, track patterns, aging tracks, and more. Also learn observation and awareness skills to help you see more wildlife. Bring some food, water, and clothing for the weather. Be prepared to walk for a few hours, sometimes on uneven terrain. Adults and youth (11 and up) accompanied by an adult.

Learn about different types of maps and compasses and other basic orienteering and map reading skills. Learn how to "orient" a map and operate a compass so you can find your location or set a course.
