The Alaska Department of Fish and Game Division of Sport Fish is revising its strategic plan. This document will be our roadmap for the next five years - a guiding document that outlines our goals, objectives and activities that, together, help us achieve our mission and direct our staff and fiscal resources. It is our belief that this plan will help us improve upon our success in managing the state's abundant recreational fisheries resources for the benefit of recreational anglers, the state's economy, and future generations of Alaskans.
Our success relies, in part, upon public input from those that support recreational fishing through the purchase of fishing licenses, king salmon stamps, equipment, and fuel.
The public comment period for the revised strategic plan has closed. Once the final version is complete, it will be posted on this site.
The final document will be published later this year and made available on-line.
