Announcing the metamorphosis of
Its Not Easy Being Green,
an amphibian curriculum
Do you know what an amphibian is?
Did you know that amphibians help humans in many important ways?
Did you know that amphibians are disappearing all over the world
at a phenomenal rate (including right here in Alaska) and scientists
don't know why?
"It's Not Easy Being Green"
- a very cool curriculum created by ADFG staff will help you and your
students learn the answers to these questions and much more about amphibians
including their unique and amazing biology, behavior, and habitat needs.
In addition, you'll find information about their colorful role in myths,
folklore, literature, and Alaska Native culture.
This upper elementary and middle school curriculum integrates language
arts, lab and field science, and social studies in an introductory study
about frogs, toads & salamanders (otherwise known as amphibians).
We invite you to try the activities in "It's Not Easy Being Green"
and when you do, please let us know how it goes.
