Emergency Orders and regulation reminders

  • There are no changes to the sport fishing regulations for the Bristol Bay Management Area since last season.
  • Sport fishing for king salmon fishing is now closed throughout Bristol Bay.
Fresh waters
Silver Salmon
  • Naknek and Alagnak drainages: Sport fishing is poor to fair and will likely remain poor to fair for the remainder of September.
  • Nushagak drainages: Sport fishing is poor and will likely be poor to fair through September.
  • Togiak River and nearby drainages: Sport fishing is currently fair and will likely be fair through September.
Rainbow Trout, Dolly Varden, Arctic Grayling
  • Naknek and Alagnak drainages: Sport fishing in the Alagnak and Naknek rivers is fair to good for rainbow trout and should be good to excellent through September.
  • Togiak River and nearby drainages: Sport fishing for Dolly Varden, rainbow trout, and Arctic grayling is fair to very good should be good to excellent through September.
  • Wood River Lakes system: Sport fishing for char is reported to be fair to excellent. Sport fishing for rainbow trout is fair to excellent should be very good to excellent through September.
Northern Pike
  • Naknek and Alagnak drainages: Sport fishing should remain fair through September.
  • Wood River Lake system: Sport fishing is fair along lake and slough shores and in shallow weedy bays and should remain fair through September.
Salt waters
Halibut
  • Nushagak Bay: Fishing should remain fair off the coast of Protection Point.
