Saltwater Fishing
Anglers last week averaged 3 hours per coho salmon. Last year it took 3 rod hours per coho with a five-year average of 3 hours per coho salmon.
Anglers last week averaged 159 hours per pink salmon. Last year it took 102 hours per pink salmon with a five-year average of 100 hours per pink salmon.
Anglers averaged one halibut for every 11 hours fished. Last year it took 6 rod hours per halibut with a five-year average of 7 hours per fish.
Freshwater Fishing
Dolly Varden fishing along the roadside/shoreline should continue to improve as water temperatures warm and Dolly Varden migrate from overwintering lakes.
Steelhead runs are at their end with most fish returning to saltwater. However, anglers can still experience good cutthroat and rainbow trout fishing in freshwater.
