Freshwater Angling
Situk River-
- Coho angling has about ended for anything except old red fish up near 9 mile bridge
- Steelhead have entered the system in low numbers into the lower river
- Dolly Varden are exceptionally abundant in the upper river by Old Situk River on up through 9-mile bridge
- River flows are lower than average and waters are clear
The Lost River and other Yakutat area streams –
- Some fresh coho moved into the middle sections of Lost River Drainage last week
- Trout can be found in many sections that have spawning coho
- Italio streams and Akwe River are reportedly still producing bright coho
Marine Angling
- Marine angling effort has almost ceased
- Some king salmon can be caught out by the bay moraines if the weather allows
