RETURN CHITINA DIPNET PERMITS BY OCTOBER 15

All Chitina personal use dipnet permits must be returned.

October 15 is the deadline to return 2005 Chitina Subdistrict personal use dipnet permits to the Department of Fish and Game.

Permits must be returned even if no one went dipnetting, or even if no fish were caught. If no one listed on the permit went dipnetting, please check the “did not fish” box on the permit, and return it to Fish and Game.

If someone went dipnetting but did not catch any fish, write the date of dipnetting,  write zeros for the harvest, and return the permit to Fish and Game.

Please review permits to make sure they are legible and correct. Be sure to indicate if you dipnetted from a boat or from shore.

Permits can be mailed to Fish and Game, with the appropriate postage. For your convenience, the address is printed on the back of the permit. Permits can also be dropped off at Fish and Game offices in Anchorage, Homer, Palmer, and Soldotna during regular office hours.

If your permit was lost or damaged, please contact the Anchorage Sport Fish Information Center at (907) 267-2218, or Stacie Hall, Fisheries Biologist, at (907) 267-2533.

Thank you for your cooperation. The information on the permit is needed to accurately assess and manage this fishery, and to continue to effectively provide this fishing opportunity.
