RETURN UPPER COOK INLET PERSONAL USE PERMITS BY AUGUST 15

All Kenai River and Kasilof River personal use dipnet and gillnet permits must be returned

August 15 is the deadline to return 2005 Upper Cook Inlet salmon personal use permits to the Department of Fish and Game.  These permits were required to dipnet at the Kenai and Kasilof rivers, and to gillnet at the Kasilof River.

Permits must be returned, even if no one used them, or even if no fish were caught.   If no one listed on the permit went personal use fishing, please check the “Did not Fish” box on the permit and return it.

Failure to return personal use permits is a violation and can lead to a $200 fine and loss of future personal use privileges. If permits are returned immediately, no action will be taken due to lateness.

Please review permits to make sure they are legible and correct.

Permits can be mailed to the Department, with appropriate postage. For your convenience, the address is printed on the back of the permit.  Permits can also be delivered to ADF&G offices in Anchorage, Homer, Palmer and Soldotna during regular office hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

If your permit was lost or damaged, please contact the Anchorage Sport Fish Information Center at (907) 267-2218  or Bob Lafferty, Fisheries Biologist, at (907) 267-2889.

Thank you for your cooperation. The information on the permit is needed to accurately assess and manage these fisheries, and to continue to effectively provide these fishing opportunities.
