RUSSIAN RIVER LATE-RUN SOCKEYE SALMON BAG AND POSSESSION LIMIT IS 3 FISH DAILY AND 3 IN POSSESSION STARTING JULY 15

Anglers are reminded that the Emergency Order that increased the Russian River / Kenai River bag limit has expired. Beginning July 15, the bag and possession limit for late-run sockeye salmon is 3 fish per day and 3 fish in possession as established by regulation.

The Russian River Sockeye Salmon Management Plan directs the Department to achieve a spawning escapement goal of 30,000-110,000 late-run fish.  Therefore, until the Department can project that the escapement range will be exceeded, the established regulatory bag and possession limit of 3 sockeye salmon per day and 3 sockeye salmon in possession will remain in effect.
